I founded Assured Security Academy after 30 years service in An Garda Siochana.

Following my retirement  I entered the Private Security sector in 2019, where I worked in commercial security and Covid-19 Compliance.

My policing career involved detective duties, supervision of serious crime investigations, and Public Order Unit supervision and training. My work included designing, resourcing and implementing Policing Plans for major events and emergencies. I co-authored a number of national and regional policing policy plans in the areas of traffic policing, resource allocation and the policing response to major disease outbreaks.

Throughout my career I carried out frontline policing duties protecting people and property, and providing advice and assistance in crime prevention and risk reduction to individuals and organisations.

I am a qualified trainer with SII (Security Institute Ireland) for Level 4 Security Courses in Static and Retail Security, and Door and Event Security.

My security training mission is to provide customer focused dynamic training programmes with an emphasis on professionalism, honesty and integrity and respect for diversity.

Learners will understand the fundamental security officer role of risk reduction in the areas of crime, health and safety and accident and emergency procedures.

My training programmes will develop learner knowledge and understanding in how to effectively use communication skills to intervene, manage and de-escalate conflict incidents.

I aim to provide learners with the understanding of the necessity to carry out their duties to the highest standards and to provide them with the skills to do so legally, safely and effectively.

My commitment to my clients is that learners will progress from my training programmes as qualified, confident, knowledgeable candidates ready to enter employment in the private security industry.
